Through strict martial discipline and focus, an Amazon warrior can attune herself to her environment and the dangers around her, allowing her to react to these hazards with superhuman agility. One aspect of this ability is her knack for avoiding missile fire. Just as the Amazon must master the bow and javelin, she must also learn to defend herself from these same weapons. When an Amazon uses this ability, incoming projectiles appear to move slower than normal, enabling her to avoid them.
Illuminates hostile units within radius of caster, and may reduce speed of any missiles subsequently created by those units.
Missile damage reduction:
Contrary to the skill description (but consistent with 2.4 patch notes [1]), also reduces fire, cold, lightning, poison, and magic damage in addition to physical damage.[2]
Does not decrease cold length or poison length. [3]
Works also with spell-based missiles, also regardless of the element. [4]
Works multiplicatively with other damage reducing effects, such as Weaken or Taunt. [5]
While missiles may be slowed, the rate at which they are fired is not. This can result in more missiles being on screen at the same time if they do not expire, collide with a target or travel out of sight.
Slowing missiles will also normally reduce their range, since they can travel less distance before expiring.
If an equal or higher level is cast upon a target, the duration of the latest cast will be applied. Lower level won't overwrite higher level.
Doesn't conflict with Inner Sight or Curses: all three can be applied at the same time.
