By utilizing her intense mental prowess, an Assassin creates a powerful force of mental energies and directs it towards a hostile creature, blasting it backwards.
If target is not selected, one is sought within 5 1/3 yard radius of cursor and that closest to it is targeted. If there is no target then it is not cast (unlike Mind Blast, which always is). Trying to cast it at edge of visible screen can thus be used to scout for targets beyond its edge. [2]
Always knocks back any eligible normal or minion monster, away from the Assassin, not the cursor.
Chance to knock back players and eligible Champion, Unique, Super Unique and boss monsters varies depending on skill level. [3]
Casting at Assassin's feet can keep back multiple targets: when the closest is knocked back, another becomes closer and is targeted in turn. This tactic is best used in bottlenecks, becoming more effective when target movement speed and attack rate are reduced, after laying traps to kill. [1]
