Commander Patrick Sumerisle can be seen on the cover of the Hellgate:London comic. He is the Lord Commander of the Templar, making him one of the most important people in the war against the demons. He has a granddaughter named Jessica. The comic however takes place in the year 2020, the game takes place 18 years later in 2038.
