==Navigation==
*During course of completing mandatory [[Arcane Sanctuary (quest)|Arcane Sanctuary]] quest, character will already have navigated the palace to find [[Arcane Sanctuary (area)|Arcane Sanctuary]] in which [[The Summoner (boss)|{{Ub|=The Summoner}}]] is located.

*Activate waypoint at crossroads beneath portal. {{Ub|=The Summoner}} guards Horazon's Journal at end of one of branches, apparently at random despite effort made to make each path distinct.

*Arcane Sanctuary is always populated by the following:
**[[Vampire|Ghoul Lords]] spawn in groups of 1-2, which are [[Immune to Cold]] (110%) in Hell.
**[[Goatman|Hell Clan]] spawn in groups of 3-4, which are [[Immune to Fire]] (110%) in Hell.
**[[Wraith|Specters]] spawn in groups of 2-3, which are [[Immune to Physical]] (100%) in Hell.
*May also encounter [[Lightning Spire]]s, which are [[Immune to Lightning]] (100%) and [[Immune to Poison]] (1,000%) in Nightmare and Hell.
*Travel to end of each branch; if it does not lead to {{Ub|=The Summoner}}, cast Town Portal, take waypoint and try another branch.

==Objective==

*{{Ub|=The Summoner}} is never [[immune]], but he is resistant to [[Fire Damage|fire]], [[Lightning Damage|lightning]] and [[Cold Damage|cold]] in all [[difficulty]] levels. Otherwise, he is not particularly sturdy, although path to him is likely to be obstructed by other inhabitants of Arcane Sanctuary and he can make a nuisance of himself by casting the following:

**Fire wall
**[[Glacial Spike]]
**[[Frost Nova]]
**[[Weaken]]
*Once he has been killed, return to town for more information.

[[The Summoner (boss)|{{Ub|=The Summoner}}]] may drop [[Pandemonium Event#Key of Hate|{{Cb|=Key of Hate}}]] in Hell needed for [[Pandemonium Event]]. Otherwise, there is no reward and no reason to do this quest other than as a byproduct of completing [[Arcane Sanctuary (quest)|Arcane Sanctuary]] quest.
