Durability is a property of [[Item type#Armor|armor]] and [[Item type#Weapon|weapons]] (excluding [[Item type#Ranged|missile weapons]], [[Phase Blade]]s and indestructible items) which is gradually reduced by use while equipped: the more points of durability an item has, the longer it will take for it to break and be in need of repair.&lt;br /&gt;
*[[Item type#Thrown|Thrown weapons]] have hidden durability values, which are reduced when they are ethereal.&lt;br /&gt;
*Ethereal items have Durability = [maximum/2] + 1&lt;br /&gt;
