When tanking there are three factors to survival. Those factors are Health, Mitigation, Avoidance. Within the category of mitigation there are two types, physical and magic.

Additionally, there is the issue of holding aggro. This is done partially by improving your AP and your crit.

This page organizes tanking equipment first by slot, then by type.
